Denim - Naked & Famous or Unbranded

Hey, couple questions for you wise denim folks.

Looking to pick up some new denim. Either unbranded or Naked and Famous. My friend at work wears unbranded UB101 and I like the fit. We fit the same shit too. Anyone know whether those fit like NF skinny guy jeans?

Also, really not into the fade and patterns of raw denim, I also realize this takes a while to happen so i'm not too concerned about it, but does anyone know if fade patterns happen with all NF denim? Or is it less exaggerated with the lighter denim.

I was thinking about picking up the glow in the dark ones for fun, or another pair with some stretch. Nothing too heavy.

All raw denim will fade, the different dyes will just fade differently. I would go with N + F they have some of the best jeans out there.

i like naked and famous. ive had a couple pairs over the years and they are really nice. the werid guy fits me really well and have lasted me for a long time. they really fade nicely too.

plus they are made in canada so its nice to support a company that is supporting ethical labour and the local economy by providing jobs for canadians instead of outsourcing to Asia

N and F for sure i have a pair going for about 2 months now i tried on the unbranded and they just dont feel as good they felt thinner and lower quality

Really? My friend who wears the UB101 I was talking about can put up 295Ilbs on the bench press, what do you do? Oh and yes, he squats heavy too.

levis 511s are the best fitting skinny ones ive found IMO and at ~40-50 bucks a pair its a good bet, and they last forever. also theyre not like skin-tight, just slim and straight legged.

Get a pair of N&F deep indigos, you'll be very happy with them. I've been rocking mine for a few months with not too much fading, but I'm starting to just develop wallet and phone fades right about now. One thing that's important to remember is to SIZE TO YOUR THIGHS, not your waist. Raw denim stretches a bit in the waist, but not too much in the thighs. My first time buying N&F weird guys I sized down too much and even though the waist fit, I could hardly squeeze my thighs in it. Now I have my deep indigos in a larger size, and they fit awesome. That's the slim fit I go for. The nf skinny guy jeans aren't skin tight, that's the super skinny guy jeans. Haha.

i have a pair of the N&F skinny guy glow in the darks and a pair of the N&F weird guy grey raw denim, personally i like the weird guy fit way more, its still slim but not quite as tight at the skinny guy fit.

never tried unbranded though so i cant help you out there

Levis 508s are also very nice. I've found they're about as slim as the 511 in the lower leg but looser in the thigh for us skiers with tree trunks for thighs.

just checked and mine are actually 510s, i was mistaken.
i like them, but have to do an inside cuff at the bottom or theyre too long.
but the 520s are by far the best. there is way more room around the crotch, way easier to walk around / run. if theres a zombie apocolypse and shit goes down i hope im wearing the 520s.

Idk if I would call those skinny, as much as Slim fitted. Skinny is not nearly as baggy, and if they ARE, then generally they are a size up from a proper fit.

Yea. I think some people misunderstood. The Jean itself is called the "skinny guy jean". Not a ture skinny jean though. I def don't want skin tight shit.

i have like 5 pairs of 501's and they fit really nice i just cut off like 6 inches of leg at the bottom seam so theyre like loose denim pants that sit a couple inches above the ankle, plus the fringe is to die for. people who only wear skinnies are zombies.
