First car for ski bum?

Jeep Grand Cherokee. Won't ever get stuck and the seats fold down for plenty of sleeping room.

yeah, you think i'm stupid, but i'm not and here is why.

You can get a good one for about 2500 or less. Parts are cheap, and contrary to popular belief if you take good care of it it will run forever and be easy to work on.

the low price will leave money to buy a fold down bed for the back

You will be able to afford a clean set of clothes and be classy as fuck.

There is room in the back to bang girls that are attracted to your classiness.

Got an 05 impreza rs with suspension and engine upgrades. AWD and alot of power I rip up to the mountain any time.

i got a 2001 outback back seat folds all the way down flat so you can easily sleep in it also AWD and roof rack got it for like 2 grand its perfect

Get a minivan and put a mattress in the back. Thats what I do whenever I go on short one day trips. I think it would work well over a long period too

Subaru Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback - they're all good.

Or an older Toyota 4Runner if you can find one that the doors haven't rusted off of. Aside from that they're indestructible and will go near anywhere.

I dont think you necessarily need an AWD car in North Carolina.. Just get a car big enough to be able to drive in storms/lots of snow on the ground. And if you wanna sleep in it, youre probably gonna have to take the backseat out no matter what car you get

The size of the engine doesn't provide it's power, just the efficiency of combustion. It's just those badly built old American engines which put out about 120 bhp with a 200 litre v8. Get yourself a 1.4 TDI VW with a remap like mine with enough space to sleep, a roof box and 66mpg cruising at 80, about 120 bhp and enough torque to pull you up any hill, go for the 4motion version for 4wd

AWD legacy wagon if you're okay with less space. 4WD Ford panel van if you want more. You can really rig up an E350 as a ski mobile.

As a dark horse I've always thought about getting an import Delica. What some people have done with them is nuts.
