mow lawns and do yardwork. its hard work but you can usually find jobs without too much trouble. take an ad out in the paper or just go around to your neighbors. babysitting can also mean awesome hourly rates, ask your parents and your friends' parents if they know people who need a babysitter.
first-- offer to do work for your parents for money. if that doesn't work-- try neighbors. Still nothing? go on craigslist and find decent free stuff right when it is listed, pick it up and sell it on craigslist for money.
this is from experience, ask your parents if there is anything you could sell for them, then either sell it on ebay, or sell it at a pawn shop, I made $250 one summer from selling old clothes on ebay
i made 20 bucks the other day by betting a friend. just make sure you bet on something you're certain you'll win. (also i hope you have stupid friends)
this is pretty radical, but it is what i did when i was 14, i wrote a list of all my accomplishments, activities i did, and my contact info on a piece of paper handed it to the manger of a local grocery store and then for every hour i helped out at his store i would make ten dollars!
