people talk shit, sayin jimmy page and eddie van halen, and some sogay malmsteen guy, but when it comes down to it, hendrix was and still is the greatest rock guitarist that ever is, exhibit A: woodstock, he was trippin BALLS on acid no less than 12 hours prior to his set which was scheduled to be the night prior but had to be postponed cause the fool got tripped from a spiked drink, exhibit B: the rainbow bridge concert, 1970, not only was this his last concert, but he was in the midst of a fat junkie stage that he never lived to get past, and if youve seen it or heard it, you know, exhibit C: he was musically illeterate, while you got all your other guys playin nothing but scales with musical theory coming out there assholes, hendrix played in color and emotions, listen to the purple haze solo(high), that shit puts images in your head, and hendrix hardly ever played the same shit twice, christ theres different versions of the same songs on most of his post humous albums, and last but not least, hendrix was black and a crazy hippie, which makes him without guitar skill a dope guy anyway
