I'm curious as to how you guys think these skis compare to each other. As a purely park ski, maybe a few groomer runs. All around park, spins, jib, butters, jumps (big too), rails etc.

I know the specs, with the FRs being very light (1730g at 176cm) vs the heavier TC at 1935g (2013) 178 and 2000g (2014)178. FRs being camber rocker camber, 2013 TC just camber, and 2014 TC rocker camber rocker.

Cost- right now you can get the 2013 TCs for $260, 2014 TC for $450. FRs $600 for the 2014, $475 for 2013 earlier this year when they were on sale on some sights.


So anyways what are your thoughts on how they compare?


And yes I searched for threads, never found one specifically comparing these two.

umm...think you got this one mixed up. FRs are rocker/camber/rocker and TCs are fully cambered (no rocker).

As far as comparison...the biggest difference you'll notice is the quality of the ski. You really get what you pay for with the FR, it's a super high quality ski that you really can't compare to many others (as far as build quality goes). I personally find the TC too heavy and dead feeling...really just heavy, floppy, noodles, where as the FR is lighter and just all around more fun to ski. Out of the two I highly recommend the FR, and you if you have the money you should go with them (they'll probably last longer too).

This is pretty accurate except for the fact that the TC's this year do have a little rocker in the tip and tail compared to last year. They are both a pretty good ski, but like bwalmer said you do get more for your dollar on the FR since each pair is hand made.

these skis are almost two opposite sides of the spectrum haha. comparing them almost seems useless.

TC skis are noodles, FR's hold up well on everything and the rocker helps make them easier to butter.
