^but dalton brought a seriousness to the role that was more like ian fleming's james bond. i agree though, connery was definately good in the first 5 - i never could really fully come to accept diamonds are forever - it just feels so out of place after lazenby did on her majesty's secret service (which is by far one of my favorites - skiing with machine guns, biatches).
