I just got my slackline today, and setting it up is kind of a bitch because the tree that I wrap the line around is really thick and has a bunch of shit around it. Is it ok if I just keep the two separate lines (the one with the ratchet and the other with all the slack) tied around the trees? I somewhat remember hearing that the UV rays can damage the fibers in the line but I wanted to make sure. I googled and only found one yahoo answer article back from 2006
My fiend leaves has left his up in the summers in colorado for the last couple of years all summer, rain or shine. As long as the UV rays arent to intense it should be fine.
I'm probably gonna do what I said and then just lay a towel over the excess line on the ground, and use a towel that sags over the line as a tree protector. Don't wanna take my chances with that shit snapping while I'm on it, especially the part of the line the ratchet is attached to
