Yeah, you read it right... we're making a magazine! I'm not going to go into too much detail right now, but here's a quick highlight of some of the important factors that separates our magazine from a traditional print publication.

- 100 pages, large format, thick paper stock, minimalist design

Here's how this Q&A works:

1) You post your question in here
2) You upvote questions you like
3) I choose my favourite questions and answer them
4) I post the Q&A in the news section
5) You guys post more questions in the comment section -- I answer them!

Am I the only one who thought that when it said yearbook we would have like all the users submit photos of themselves so we can see what everybody really looks like and make fun of them?

I'd like to hear from some of the older guys, maybe Q&A's with guys like T Heed or Plake, to take a couple examples, and ask them their perspective on how the sport of skiing in general has changed over the last few years.

User submitted stories about some of our legendary shredders that have died.

Find the project so dope when it was announced during the IF3. Any more info about how the content in the mag will be chosen, like what will be the role of the community?

So it is a summary of all the top rated content that we have already seen (plus one original article). It will be a way to look back on what was popular on NS for the year.

So people will be buying this based on nostalgia and reflection? We've already seen the content before. It will be a year old when it comes out. I'm interested to see how it goes. I think a summary of the best photos is a great idea but threads? Not so much.

Will the entirety of top rated threads (comments and all) be included?

What if a Freeskier.com article gets top rated? Is it a complicated process to use their work for profit?

@OP How much advertising is there going to be? The more advertising the less it costs so either way I'm happy, but I'm just curious.

What about threads? Would it be possible to get the top rated threads OP and some of the top rated comments in there? I think that would be pretty funny. Sounds like you guys have a plan though. Just wondering if this is part of it in any way.

I'm interested in what the company sponsor options are going to be? can companies pay to get full page adds? small side bar adds like on ns? I do see a spot for videos in this, maybe top rated videos for the time period the magazine covers get a page where the links are all available bellow them so people can have a list of the best edits. video thumbnails are usually sick so it would visually look good on a page as well. I see this goin huge! keep up the good work.

Just a quick bit:

Every issue should have a fold-out poster of the top photo you include and a small NS sticker. I think that would add some fun to it.

Just an idea though.

i think it would be cool if you had members write pieces. or have like guest member write ups. so user good submit a story and it could potentially get runned in the mag.

Who qualifies to write articles for the magazine? And is there a possibility that if it turns out to be super popular is there any chance it might turn into a monthly magazine rather than an annual one as Mosseau said it is at the moment?

No, I am super stoked but honestly I am going to be just as stoked no matter what I learn in the Q&A so I am just going to sit here being stoked and then be stoked to buy the magazine when it comes out because my stoke level will be equally stoked no matter what this thing turns out to be like. So yes I am stoked but I have no questions. Hehe...
