i saw a picture on facebook that appeared to be taken from beibers instagram as it is a "selfie". Picture was him in a mirror with the script in his hand.

He has the script, not the part. No casting director in their right mind would put him in that role. They would lose their whole audience. Also do we even know if Robin is going to be in that movie? Because I haven't heard anything about it

Yes but the fact that it is a batman film would divide that fan girl population in half. That movie would not make back its budget solely because of a casting decision

You're an idiot, casting directors and studios don't look at one hypothetical market and cast according to that. The fact that the target market of the movie is largely made up of male adults who are not fans in the least of Justin Bieber would be enough to connect the dots. The instagram isn't reliable either because no one anywhere has said he has that role; Justin Bieber posting a picture of himself with Lady Gaga doesn't mean you assume they're about to elope.

very true. it seems as though they know that they already made a huge mistake casting ben affleck and now are making drastic decisions to make the movie better.

should be interesting to see how this movie ends up but I probably will not be seeing it.

I never said that was the only specific market they looked at..

just saying they obviously did because that is without a doubt whom he attracts the most attention from.

also im not saying he has the part yet, just bringing attention to the fact that he got a script.

But they aren't making drastic decisions. They haven't announced anything (except for hiring a new cinematographer) since Batfleck. And the reality is because Bale was so good I don't think there would be anyone that would be considered "good" right now. And the script calls for a "tired, older batman" which I think Affleck can do. It'll be weird but the worst decision they've made is turning it into a joint film with superman

I just cannot picture affleck as batman regardless of the age. he was fucking filthy in argo and the town but this doesnt seem fit for him.

they send scripts out to any asshole they feel like... why the fuck would they even need a Robin? Dude is a fanboy gymnast who gets bored since both his lame-ass parents die.

All Robin has been good for in Batman is him dying. If they had Robin with a full beard and hailing from Pakistan screaming, "allah akbar!" I might believe this shit.

And people couldn't picture Ledger as the Joker. You should look up the reactions to that casting decision.I'm not gonna say it'll be great (or even good) but it will be better than what everyone is thinking.
