Considering getting this ski for the upcoming season. What's your thoughts on it, have you been on it, etc. Also how does it compare to the on3p Jeffrey.
Honestly, I was surprised at how well they preformed. Turn radius is great for a pow ski and they aren't super soft so the tips and tails don't chatter that much. Really great ski.
They won't to as well on hard pack as Volkls non-playful freeride skis (Gotama, Shiro, Katana, etc) because the One has a tapered tip and tail, making it surfy and fun in the deep, but harder to carve on hardpack.
I skied the new life for years and it was great. I just switched to Volkl last year, I ski the two which is just a slightly larger version of the one, and I like it more. Honestly the skis look really similar, the rocker profile and widths are very similar. However the early taper of the one and and softer flex compared to the new life makes it a better preforming ski. I'd go with the one.
