If you could have a skiing competition

yeah. I just wonder how your competiton would be like if you could arrange one. How would the feature(s) be. Railjam? Bigair? And which skiers would you invite to it?

I would probably had a rail jam with lots of different and creative features down a short hill. I would invite Sig Tveit, Parker White, Jossi Wells, Kim Boberg and alot of other stylish skiers...

probably a really chill slope style with loads of music playing the whole time. I would like to have all the STEPT guys and Steve Stepp for the amateur slope style competition

It would be a competition down a pillow field but every here and there there will be kickers that launch you into powder heaven, then at the end there will be a gigantic wood wall ride and I would invite myself.

Slopestyle, except I would make the whole slope out of boxes, and watch pros try not to fall. I would then choose the winner based on best style whilst falling, and make him/her do it again, this time with ski blades. I would then reveal to the world that I am Syrian president Barack Al Assad Obama and nuke Israel, Kentucky, and Northern Ireland.

I would have a 650ft long box, and have a competition who could do the most hippie killers.

Who ever did the most would win the box, because I have no idea were somebody would put something that big.

I'm about to have one this winter, as a promotion for my new company.
I'm thinking just a larger feature, which you could hit in many different ways.
Just stack a pile of snow with rails in different angels, a tap feature, and lots of ways and kickers in to it!
Then just run a Jam session on it.

a huge comp where every skiing event is done, and winner is chosen by whoever does the best in all of them


either that or a mogul comp with rails and shit

Except there would be no double corks allowed. Not that I'm against them, you just see too much of it in competitions these days.

I would invite the Legs of Steel crew. It'd be open to amateurs as well though, you know, to make a name for themselves and all that.

absolutley no pros would be invited, and everyone would have to have this years full tilts, and not know the callout. It would be hosted in the midwest. Pros, and industry folk will make up the masive panel of judges.

My buddy and I are going to try and pull off a comp series this winter. Big mountain, gs race (or slalom to really see who can use their edges), moguls, slope style, and après competitions. One event a weekend for 4 weeks (après comp will be the same day as the last skiing event with awards after).

We want it to be somewhat underground, loose judging, lots of fun, and truly see who the best skier on the mountain is.

Cool, I think a mix between racing and freestyle would be really cool.

Set slalom r=10 meters to really screw with them. ;P

I'd have a mix of the FWT and red bull line catcher...

Have the top section on something super gnar and steep. then going into a more mellow section with booters on cliffs etc.

Then finish with a big ass booter into pow.

a big skiiercross type course, but with jibs and slopestyley type jumps. judged on combination of flow, tricks and speed.

i would have a smaller more creative slope coarse that flows really well more like a bike slopestyle but with jibs

I always thought it'd be cool to have comp under motherload called the super combined free ride comp. it would be one insanely long run without stopping to see who could really shred the entire mountain. you shred a big mtn line down link's. Then a kind of natural slope course with kickers down main then moguls down center star with jump to gap the roads. Only the strongest will finish. The mufflys would probably win.

A hand shoveled jump with Candide, Mosley, the Schrabs, Big Air Dave, Vincent Dorien, Brad Holmes, Mike Douglas, Mike Wilson, Jon Olsson, Gus Kenworthy on directional straight skis, that guy who poached the Tanner Hall Invitational, Eric Pollard, and Steve Stept. Dropping in that order.

I created a competition back in 2004 that was a jam format on 5 features. A few rails, jump, qp. Judges were at each feature and you had all afternoon to session all the features and get scored.

It was super chill and made for a fun day. It ended up being a big success and ran for 5 years. I changed the format to be a little more organized though. It eventually evolved into a jam style slope. I still enjoy the thought of that first years format. Lord of the Park 2004!

Everybody starts ontop of an untouched powder run and has 30 seconds to pick up speed before their bindings release... Most cartwheels wins

it would be a slopestyle with all rails all the way down which everyone would have to get over clean until a massive jump at the bottom that you would need a load of speed to clear. Judging would be based on style over massive spins and flips.
