I mean, it's more side country but i guess It's the closest thing to backcountry you'll get without having do any hard work besides waiting on the access road for the shuttle to bring you back up. they also have $18 single cat rides so there's another perk. they also have a tow rope up to another area and when you get off you can hike about 10-15 mins to where another cat skiing area is, called cobabe canyon which is where i found the most fresh weeks after a storm this past winter.
As a local- no. Wolf mtn is a gaper resort, the park sucks.
I would definatly recommend Snowbasin or Pow mow. Good parks, terrain. And usually not crowded.
