Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I'm looking for some kicks that are EXTREMELY DURABLE (Can hold up to a lot of skating). Also, any techniques you guys use to make your shoes last longer will be greatly appreciated.
Use shoe-goo. It will make them last so much longer. Even a thin vulcanized shoe (Think Vans, Janoskis, etc.) will last a lot longer if you shoe-goo the typical wear areas.
Best pair I ever has we're es's. Sucks they don't make them anymore. Brands I've had bad experience were habitat, etnies and dc although dc has changed a lot since I've owned a pair. Most people I know like Nike, vans, addidas and huf.
ES, Etnies, and Emerica are all one brand essentially. But emricas are good especially my personal favorite the g-code. The most durable skate shoes that i have ever had in terms of souls were janoskis. But i heard that the Addidas busnitez vulc are great.
I have had my vans TNT Fives for a couple months now, and only are wearing out a bit, I don't skate as often any more, but every other day, sometimes more. I don't see these ripping anytime soon. But just get whatever is comfortable, and shoe goo the shit out of it when it rips
I cant think of the name now but about 4 or so years ago Nike made a weird skate shoe with this weird pricklt rubber on the toe. It was basically impossible to wear these down.
Don't go vans my pair got destroyed with limited usage. My lakias are the best skate shoe I have but they look like shit cause the swade and rubber like combined but I really can feel the board with them.
It depends where the shoe is made because if you by the Manchester which is there Price point shoe(i think malaysia?), then it will wear away in less than a weak of skating. My carlo's(Korea maybe?) on the other hand took many months of abuse before i quit skiing them.
I had several pairs and I've loved them all. They are not super durable but super confortable! Put them 10 seconde in the microwave, wear them 20 minute and they are ready to ride!
