Stupid things you've done in the park

So the Sugarloaf apology thread got revived and it made me think, how many of us have done stupid things in the park? I'll start....

I'll start, One day I was skiing switch and lazily looking over my shoulder when I hear a YO DUDE LOOK OUT! I flip around and am a less then a foot to slamming into a park crew kid shaping up the side of a lip. I did some mission impossible wizzardry and just touched his jacket as i flew by. I stopped and apologized and at first he was like dude WTF?? but then he said it was alright and just be careful. So in closing, I am sorry Blue Mountain park crew kid.

Who else has got one?

I went to boardslide (im a boarder) a rail, thinking it was a normal rail....turned out to be DWD, slammed onto my ass

Tried to do the gnarliest epic b-dog yolo Nollie of my life infront of the liftline...caught both my tips and faceplanted and got laughed at.



Also one time I was in a full gaper suit and decided to penguin slide down the park, lost control of my speed and wrecking balled into a group of kids waiting for a feature...rustled many people's jimmies.

Up at hunter mtn one day i went 50-50 on an A frame box, and at the point i went to hop to a rail slide and my ski didnt make up onto the box and instead got wedged in the steel under. It took me and three others 30 minutes to pull my ski back out from the box.

Needless to say I was embarrassed as hell trying to yank my ski out, and I'd like to give a shout out to those others who were kind enough to help me pull that shit out.

Shot off some 2 foot drop at copper in the park iorn crossed it, then caught an edge than got a Talking to by some 40 year old with like 4 kids, then told him to screw off, and that didn't work out well, spent the rest of my day in the bowl there until I changed into a sweatshirt the next day. So in a nutshell, don't iorn cross anything.

Overshot and over-rotated a backie in a comp, dislocating my AC joint (collar bone to shoulder) in the process. Went up for my next run, coughed at the top and realised something was wrong. Decided to go again anyway, but a lot lazier this time and under-rotated, caught my tips and scorpioned. Went to hospital after and all that but hey, got a lumpy shoulder but it doesn't hold me back. Next year I went to the same comp, did the exact same thing..... and i bruised my kidney and chipped my pelvis.

Either that or trying a rodeo 540 onto an airbag, going off the jump off-angle rather than going off-axis in the air, missing the airbag, landing 8ft and 1/4 of a rotation lower flat on my side, giving myself such a bad concussion I lost sight in the left side of my left eye for half an hour and lost my new samsung s3 on the way home, but carried on skiing.

The things we do for the love of skiing eh?

Caught my edge off the lip going switch and basically switch backied halfway and landed on my back. It was embarrassing cuz it was like 12 feet.

Went full retard and slammed full speed into mesh/rope fence surrounding the park. Wrapped about 20 feet of it around me ripped about 50 yards of it out of the ground and on top of that got a rope burn all the way across my face. After about a 30 foot crash and burn I finally stopped right in front of the staging area with about 20 skiers standing right there. Yeah I felt stupid.

It was the last day of the season a couple years ago. Decided to try my first ever 540, hucked it off a 25 and did it perfectly, somehow even threw a grab in there. So im feeling very confident, give it another go off the same jump, goes smooth until the landing. Leaning way too far forward, slip out, slam my face onto the landing and slide down on it the rest of the way. Somehow walked away from it
