Box plastic

Ok, so I've searched and haven't found anything, and build a jib will give me 6 views and 1 response, so here is goes
Just making sure it's not a re-post

So, what type of plastic shud I use for a box? I mean, on top. I don't wana use PVC on the whole thing, I want to make this as accurate as possible to this right here

White plastic, coping, the works.

(P.S. Add more than one material if possible, i'm not going to spend 50$ just for plastic. Just want some backup options)

if only a few people are using the box, don't bother with coping. The reason it's needed at resorts is hundreds of people hit the feature every day.
If you want to use it anyway, get angled steel or steel tubes (hurts less to fall on). You will need to get a reasonably high grade steel so it doesn't grab your edges, and unless you can weld a metal frame together, you'll need to drill and countersink (so the screws sit flush) holes in it to attach it to the box, flush with the sliding surface.

Most resorts use half inch plastic because it lasts longer and you dont need to put plywood underneath. If you put plywood underneath some thinner plastic works great for the backyard. It just needs to be thick enough to counter sink your screws with enough thickness left so they dont pull through the plastic. You can buy a counter sink or just use a large diameter drill bit.

Just use a whole bunch of thin pvc pipes. You will pay big bucks for lexan or puck board.
