I hate watching so many runs that get thrown down at the x-games...spin after spin; mute grab after mute grab. However, It is ludicrous and so greatly selfish for anyone to put the idea in an Olympians mind that it's up to them to change the way competition skiing works. You want Henrik to throw away a shot at a gold medal, tons of money, and tons of more money, just so some idiot out there who knows nothing about skiing can see a sick run?? Cause guess what? That idiot isn't going to think that run is sick, he's going to see that Henrik didn't do as many whirlybirds as Bobby Brown and think that Henrik sucks. You know who else isn't going to like the run? The Judges and the Commentators. The commentators are going to shit on anyone that isn't throwing triples and the audience is going to be none the wiser. These guys have the opportunity to to make money doing what they love and Mr. Bishop (along with others) is selfishly asking them to throw it to the wind.
That being said, I HATE watching BB and Gapers runs as much as anyone that knows anything about skiing. However, competition is at a bad place in the way it is being judged right now. Right now the judging format is what it is, no matter how dumb. Lets not be selfish bitches and ask someone to throw away a chance at a podium on the Olympic level just so a group of people on the internet can talk about how Henrik should have gotten first instead of last because his stylish 7's and 9's were way better than the hucked triples and doubles being thrown. So Mr. Bishop, unless you're going to pay someone the equivalent to what they would make after winning the Olympics because they listened to you, I would suggest you find a better way to try and change the judging format and stop being selfish
