im getting a hp laptop for school this year and was wondering what is the best anitvirus for the best price.

I have kaspersky. I mean I guess it works? I have it because my computer came with it and I havent had any viruses or noticed any performance decreases because of it. But generally Ive heard kaspersky is just ok.

I'm crying. So funny.

Ironic because you get McAfee for free from Comcast. Glad I never went that way, although I read somewhere that it was rated pretty high. Anyway, I use Trendmicro. It's never failed me.

free: microsoft security essentials
Not as free: NOD32 or malwarebytes

Also don't buy an HP, go for toshiba or lenovo.
