Buttering on stiffer skis

Here is my question newschooler's, is it hard to learn how to butter on stiffer skis? Recently I got ON3P jmos and I know they have a medium to hard flex. Do you think I will have trouble getting my butters down??

they got a lot of rocker so they will be really butter in the tip and tail

Hey just lean into it harder, they should be fine. Like said before the rocker will help. Good luck!!

Stiffer boots will help too. Having a boot you can really lean into and have it support your weight will mean you can actually flex the ski. Too many people think a soft boot is what they need for park, when in fact going slightly stiffer may be more beneficial.

my skis were pretty stiff in the beguining of the year but got broken in so it was easy to butter.

But why would you get stiff skis if you want to butter

I can butter on my Jmos just fine, it's really not hard to do at all.

you just got to keep flexing em. I know people that will set up cinder blocks and drive over their brand new skis to break them in faster. Not really the best idea but it works

Had some Atomic Access skis which were pretty stiff but had some rocker in them. They weren't that hard to butter compared to my friend's stiff full-camber park ski. So you shouldn't have too much trouble on a Jmo

I'm going to jack this thread for a quick question:

I have a pair of Rossi S4 Jibs(super cheap), and I want to know what I should do to butter on these...they don't have rocker, so would I just put some force into it?

The way people butter today you can butter with any kind of ski stiffness....

Did you just call the Access "pretty stiff"? Why are you trying to butter a foam core backcountry touring directional ski anyways?

To be honest I don't think anyone's going to teach you how to butter, just lean into it and see how the ski responds, any ski can be buttered it's just about how you intend to do it and how hard you commit

Oh, I know how to butter. I've just heard buttering on these skis was like impossible, and I haven't skied them yet.
