Just wondering where all you filmmakers out there get the rights to your music and or where you get royalty free music? I know most of the time you can just get away with using copyright songs, but sometimes its necessary to get rights for film festivals / professional work.
In the past I've found just finding a song on Soundcloud or Youtube with not a lot of exposure and asking the artist of the song for using it, usually works. But it's hard to find a good song and most royalty free song sites don't have great options.
At the moment I'm trying to find a good up beat song that would work well for a school project. Something like the background music of this video I came across. https://vimeo.com/69666770#
