Stereo or Shotgun Mic for Filming Skiing?

i was just wondering what people use more often and which is better. I know shotgun mics are more for picking up voices and stereo are for picking up sounds from all around. Let me know what you guys think.

shotgun. you don't want sound from all around just from the action of the skier...

correct me if i'm wrong [ehv].

I use a shotgun mic, you don't want all the sounds around you. Even a shotgun mic picks up the sound of the filmer skiing, etc. but its 100x better than a stereo mic.
