Is it a good idea to dye the entire shell of my boots?
I have the 2012 FT Booters and frankly im getting kinda tired of the whole spiderman color scheme. Im thinking about gettin some black rit dye and just throwing the whole boot in the pot (obviously take out the liner and shock absorber). I'm just a little worried about this changing the way my boots ride. Will the boiling water distort the plastic or make the boots softer or anything? Anyone with firsthand experience would be great!
I tried dying my 09 High Fives, and came out with very little success with the dye. however, it doesn't change the way they ride, but I would recommend putting them back together after you dye them sooner rather than later. I left mine out for a few too many days, and the plastic warped a little bit, making it harder to put them back together. but they shaped back up.
yeah basically. the holes for the bolts didn't want to line up well, so it took more effort than needed to get them back together. keep em buckled up and everything after you dyed them and put them back together and you'll be good.
ok i'll make sure to buckle em up asap after dying. Im thinkin of just leaving the buckles on while dying though so I dont have to deal with putting the bolts back and what not. That wouldnt do anything harmful would it?
