I read a week or so ago that this winter would be "bitter cold for 2/3 of the US." Does anyone know anything about this? Does that mean more snow, too? Or just cold? I aint no weatherman
I'm wondering if this has something to do with my resort opening early this year. I live in Arizona, and my resort (Arizona Snowbowl) usually opens somewhere between Dec 15-25. This year, they said they plan to open on Nov 29th, which is way earlier than I've ever seen them open. I'm wondering if this is because of an unusually cold winter on the way.
AZ Snowbowl just got started to make snow about 2 seasons ago, so I'm wondering if they advanced it to the point where they can make enough snow to open earlier. Idk. I just was wondering if the two were related and if anybody knew 1) what this winter is forecasted to bring in terms of weather and 2) why snowbowl is opening early
