what camera should i get

i want to get started in photography and i was wonderin what would be a good and relativly cheap camera to start out with.

if you want to get going in photography, digital isn't really the best option right away. good cameras are too expensive, and the cheaper ones are just point and shoots. buy a used SLR for cheap, like a Canon EOS, and take a class for photography/darkroom.

A cheap, afforable digital is the Canon A series (70-90?). You can get an A70 for right around 200 and this camera has loads of manual features. Check out www.dpreview.com. Give the Canon A70 a look, its a GREAT starter camera if your on a budget.
