I think it needs to be more cohesive. It was confusing to watch the music videos/drama stuff without any sound. I would stick to the moving action shots of sports because they were the best shots and are more interesting.

I think that was really good. I really would not change anything. It's the right length, you have a good mix of shots and it is well edited. Good work.

i disagree with above statement. personally i felt like you had maybe too many skiing shots together, it almost felt like a short ski edit in the middle of the reel. i thought that some of ther skating shots weren't overly impressive (from a filming standpoint) and didnt really add a huge amount to the reel. i actually liked alot of the drama and music video shots, they made it feel alot more like an actual reel. i thought it ended very abruptly, the music almost felt like it was building up to something else and then it finished.

^ I would agree his skiing shots were not the strongest but they showed a good versatility. His drama stuff was good so if you change anything more of that. Don't make it longer though. I think it ended very well. Straight into your title plate from there and it's good.

i think the shot at :11 is pretty pointless same with the basketball shot. other than that it was decent. still not much of a coherent flow but you had some good shots in there.

Thanks for all the great feedback. I'm going to be working on a new cut for next week. Maybe move some of the ski shots around. Some of the skateboard shots a kinda just place holders at this point until I can shoot something that's better. As far as the end. I was going to have some text with contact info over the end timelapses and wanted the music to build to that so it draws the viewers attention and they remember my info. I might be taking the skateboard shots out and adding some sfx shots with guns firing blanks and some squib vest shots. I just wanted to have a little skate footy to show that I film that as well. Not just skiing, music video and narratives.
Thanks for all the help.

Don't add any sfx shots. They have nothing to do with cinematography. So a fx real if you want to show that stuff. Overall I thought it was very good. Don't worry about it telling a story or being coherent so much. It's a reel of your best work not an edit that is trying to say anything.

Give it some more depth, and perhaps space out the skiing shots a bit more too. I'd also say try a few different editing techniques and what not to give the viewer a variety of differences between the shot and the last.
