If you do molly, buy a tester kit. I know I've said this on here a ridiculous amount of times but BUY A TESTER KIT.

That is way too young. The last few years bathsalts have become all the rage. People just want to make a quick buck and don't care, or don't know what they're selling you. At some of these electronic festivals, over 3/4s of the "Molly" going around is a completely different chemical and contains no traces of mdma. Honestly seems it could be close to 90% at some of them. One of the huge problems with this beyond the obvious, is that there are a lot of young kids going to these shows. They want to get a little fucked up and rage their favorite sets, have a good time with their friends. People just blindly assume that the person selling them molly, actually has mdma. Also, people seem to think because something got them fucked up/ gave them energy, that's it's mdma. Just because it's not baby powder doesn't mean it's mdma.

If more people had test kits it would make the music scene in general MUCH safer. The test kits generally go for about $20 bucks and you can get 50/100 tests out of a bottle depending on what kind you get.

Don't take a chance with your life. I'm not telling you to stay inside, skip the shows and never have any fun, I'm just asking you to be safe and be aware.

These tests kits are very easy to use, you don't have to have a college degree in chemistry to figure them out. It just takes a tiny spec of "molly" and 1 drop from the test kit. Seriously it takes a crumb, so don't worry about wasting all of it to the point where you'd rather just risk it. The reaction happens in seconds. Sometimes just pulling out a test kit will cause a seller with fake molly to leave. Some people don't even know that they've been selling fake things because they got it from a friend, who got it from a friend etc.

If you and your friends like to go shows, or just like to eat molly, look into buying one of these.

Such such such such such good advice...

On BBC Radio 1 every few weeks there will be a news story about a new RC that people are buying thinking it is MDMA, then they take it and overdose. In the US they don't really give you advice about how to be a safe drug user so this is definitely a useful buy.

If colleges began offering test kits in the health center or the student center like they do with condoms it would change the EDM community.

Just my 2 cents.

People get too caught up in the moment and take the stuff, without realizing the risk they are taking. If kits were made readily available to college kids, who make up the majority of the EDM community (correct me if I'm wrong, just speaking from my own experiences), I think it would really help a lot.

No, it would mean the college realizes that, however "wrong," students will use illegal drugs, and it is their job to condone safety and testing. You sound like a conservative against free condoms because it "condones premarital sex."

never understood this, im sure the drug dealers dont sell to just one or two people but whenever you hear about someone dying at a music festival its like one or 2 people, when probably 100 people bought whatever that dude was selling.

I know it's a very different situation because molly is a much cleaner drug than heroin (at least when you are actually getting MDMA), but there are needle swaps all over major cities for a reason.

And as for the argument that it's "condoning" the drug use, I see where you're coming from, but in all honesty kids are going to do it anyways. It may not do wonders for a school's image, but I think the lives it would save would be well worth it.

That's a tough subject to dance around. When you have a ton of parents looking at your school it'd be very difficult to make that happen. Honestly something that's unlikely to ever happen. It would be nice but the mom sending her kid off to school doesn't want to send that kid to a college where drugs are because obviously her kid is perfect and will never do drugs.

Also there are actually people who have a problem with colleges giving out free condoms, not even joking.


The best thing would be for the shows and festivals to take a stance. Unfortunately with legislation these days that is difficult. Venues can run into all kinds of problems over the use of illegal drugs on their property. If they offer single test kits, test kits, or discounts on them it would work wonders for the scene, but you're again treading that line. Many of them want to be able to take a step back, say they did their best to keep drugs out of the festival, and anything else is out of their hands.

Luckily some of the festivals are down and the bunk police have been bouncing around several fests the last few years.

It makes plenty of sense, but nobody wants to be in the situation where it looks like they're condoning drug use. The fact that people are dying still doesn't seem to change that which blows, but that's how people roll.

Even just promoting awareness. The fact that so many of these kids going to these shows are completely clueless about the situation is a massive problem. If people don't know that there are bad drugs everywhere, they won't even think about testing them. Also knowing that the testing option even exists.


If you know people that do molly, please tell them to get a test kit, and to spread the word to their friends.

they're looking for molly (which contains MDMA) and they are getting either molly that's cut with other things, or worse - they're not even getting molly and they're being given methylone or other toxic chemicals like bath salts and such

There needs to be a current slang term for pure mdma. Nowadays "molly" refers to to any party drug sold in a white capsule in the bathroom of a club. People are taking "molly" looking for that feeling rappers brag about, but instead, they get a meth high that last past sunrise.

Coke makes you feel as if you're running a race
mdma makes you feel like you won the race.
"Molly" makes you strung out at 7:30 am while debating if meth can come in the form of a pill of powder.

a kid at my school overdosed on molly and tried to kill his brother. he almost died himself, and would have if he hadnt gotten to the hospital in time. now he isnt allowed in the school or in his own house anymore

OP delivers with a quality post. Good information and I will definitely be buying a test kit in the near future. I have definitely had some stuff in the past that was not Molly. I had never met this kid before, a friend of a friends, and I told him I wanted .4, and he said he would give me .7 for the same price, and me being ignorant at the time thought that this was great. I took all the Mollies, and it literally didn't even feel like .1, it was a waste.

Molly was originally, and still is supposed to be pure MDMA. Sadly and obviously that isn't true, and it's a bunch of RC's and anything else you can find in your kitchen mixed up in a capsule. So yes, molly is not MDMA anymore, but it's advertised as such and people think they are taking MDMA when in reality there is almost a 0% chance they are getting it.
