Threads. My campus has some pretty burly DFD's that have never been hit before, campus security goes tryhard when it comes to kicking people out of spots.
Non of them are too short. The DF is a good length, even if you disaster it, and the stair case with the multiple down rails is fun because you can do combos and hit several rails in a row.
That first set of rails was pretty short. You can't really say they're "too short" because it's all about what you want to hit and what you can do with it. But on average those rails were pretty small. All rails look a lot bigger when they aren't 2 feet off the snow. A 20' park rail looks pretty normal but a 20' street rail would look real long. A good example is think of a dfd thats about 14 stairs, flat, 14 stairs. walking down it it will seem huge. But when it's put into a park it will be a pretty normal dfd for a developed park.
Dude, the closeout to stair tranny possibilities in that one spot... Even that angled rail can be the top of the tranny. That would be so ill.
My school has a couple spots, including a couple of super long, steep DFDs with a gnar factor like that red Breck rail from Weight. We also have some brick ledges. Problem is that it only snows enough here every 2-3 years...
This is at the new 5th/6th grade building right next to the highschool I go to. Not a college but thought I'd share because it's sick. Also has a wall on the other side perfect for dropping off the rail into a wallride
Usually get a couple storms where this stuff would be hittable.
