How to make friends at a mountain.

My brother is going to university next year and it will leave me with no one to ski with. All the people in my grade are just gaper holiday warriors. How do i meet people at the mountains?

Here's what I do (serious post)

MR. SLOTHS GUIDE TO MAKING FRIENDS

First, post horrible, homoerotic content all over NS

Find good skiers on the mountain.

Ask them if they're on NS

IF NO: Act like a normal, social human being. They will probably enjoy your company.

IF YES: Ask their name. They will probably play it off, because they probably don't post much and lurk a lot.

Tell them your name (IE I'm Mr. Sloth)

They slowly connect your name to the homosexually charged posts that made their privates tingle.

They recoil in fear and become your friend, because they no that anything else would result in violent post-mortem rape

1. Bring good vibes-- encourage people, cheer, pole clap

2. marijuana is social lube

3. ski with a beer

4. theres a difference between throwing down and showing people up

5.  look steezy when cruising,    

6.  join up with girls or chill people in the lift line

7. don't have music blasting so you can hear people when they make small talk

Go skiing all the time. Other regulars will start to recognize you. Talk to people on the lift, etc. Ask questions, show an interest in other's skiing.

It has been said before but just ski a lot and you will start to recognize people and they will recognize you, then just don't be shy and do some small talk and eventually some will become good friends

I've met the coolest people I know on the hill, it's easier than at school for sure since you already have a common interest. Be chill and you'll meet chill people, and let the skiing do the talking. If you're a douch and claim you'll either have no friends or be friends with the wack/poser kids.

the mountain is a wicked easy place to make friends. usually all it takes is a "yo, nice 4 out" (a genuine compliment) and the conversation is started.

Just be open and start by making small talk, when those people realize you aren't a gaper they are more likely than not willing to ski with you

yeah this exactly. Thats how I ended up skiing with BMOS reed lewis for a day. People are all there for the same reason, so everyone has something in common.

honestly if youre social (not obnoxious) and there to progress/enjoy yourself then regardless to your skill most people will be down to ride with you AS LONG as you dont look like a gaper

Get a little pocket speaker. It will usually grab attention and could break down some socially awkward boundaries you have between yourself and the other park skiiers.
