inb4 get full tilts. when I bought my first ski setup two years ago, as a noob naturally I jumped on the Full Tilt bandwagon and bought a used pair of classics. They seemed to fit ok back then, but now they are causing me problems. It's very possible that they aren't the right fit for my foot, but they are functionally a great boot and I dont want to replace them if they dont fit.
I know the advice that can be given online is limited without actually seeing my foot, but hear me out. I wear a size 10 shoe, and have 25.5 ft classics (293 bsl). Last season, every day I skied my feet would hurt shortly after I put my boots on but would dissipate after a few runs and they would feel great until later in the day. after 4-5 hours on pain free skiing, the backs of my heels would start to hurt, which i think is due to my heels not being secure in the boot. i have the middle buckle tightened to the max and this still happens. would the solution to this be footbeds?
another problem i have is when i am on my feet in ski boots for 1+ hours (hiking rails, ropetow, bootpacking) without lift rides to take the pressure off, my feet hurt alot.jpg. not sure if there is anything to fix this other then just getting a boot that fits properly.
and finally, there is a large gap between my calf and the boot liner, enough to conceal 4 fingers completely. this is with the power strap tightened all the way. i get shinbang and am guessing this is part of the reason.
tl;dr jumped on the full tilt bandwagon 2 years back as a noob, dont want to replace boots. i have heel pain even with middle buckle fully tightened, feet hurt when im on my feet for 1+ hours (no lift rides to relieve the pressure), large gap between calf and liner.
