So I was thinking about buying a Kessler Jacket online and I just had a few questions before buying....Would the kessler work as a full on winter jacket if I wore a baselayer/hoodie under it? What's the sizing like? There are only medium and large left online and I'm gonna be wearing them with some Large saga fatigue pants
What part of the world will you be skiing? In places like Utah, 10k waterproofing is sufficient even when it's snowing hard due to the low water content of each flake. But elsewhere, you might see the 10k not hold up to stormy weather. As for being warm - a shell should never be responsible for that.
I don't have a kessler jacket but I do have a format jacket from the year before that. I can assume that they improved their quality from that year.
For what its worth, it was their first year they made outerwear and the quality I got from that jacket is top notch. I ski in southern ontario and have worn it in a variety of conditions. I did opt for a large however and I am 5'6. It was comfortably fit without looking too ridiculous but large enough if you like the baggy look. Theres been 0 wear and tear so far with all the buttons, zippers etc. still working and no tears in the material as well.
Usually i ski in around -20 to -10 Celsius conditions and I wear a baselayer, long sleeve cotton shirt, t shirt then my jacket. If you're looking for a good quality jacket that is super durable, then look no further
