Need Help With Recycled Rail Ideas!

Hey everybody, I am working on park crew at my local hill and we are making a few rails out of recycled materials. What we're using is steel track pieces that were used for raising boats in and out of water. They are each about 8 feet in length and we have about 6 pieces for use. The diameter of the square tubing is 2 1/2 inches and has rounded edges. We are currently angle grinding all surface rust off and it is working surprisingly well! They should slide like a dream. We can weld any shapes together but we are undecided on which types of rails to make, that's where you all come in!

Comment any ideas you have for features to build!

The quality of the steel is really important. If it is cold rolled steel, it will work great and last. If it is softer steel, it will get destroyed quick and eventually someone will get hurt badly when their edges dig into it. For softer steel, I would just use it for the framework for an HDPE box. The skateboard rails that you can buy at Target and other big stores are made of the softer steel. I made the mistake of using one for a setup, my edges actually curled the steel back on the rail, until my ski stopped and I got crushed.
