Terrain Park Design Ideas?

I am a member of the park crew at a local resort called Mission Ridge Winter Park in Saskatchewan, Canada. Being in the prairies we focus plenty of energy on our terrain park and am always wanting to improve it. With the new ski and board season coming up we are trying to design a killer park for everyone to ride. We are also in the process of creating new features that will be new assets to our park. Anyone with ideas on new features to build or creative ways to set up features should feel free to comment on this thread and we appreciate everyone's knowledge in the industry!

Need more info about your resort. What kind of snowcat do you have, how long your run is, what kind of snowmaking system do you have?

All these really limit what you can do. I just love kids who what you to build features that they see in ski movies. Pro builds in real life are just so crazy/huge/hard to maintain. They are just so unrealistic. I would say just start with really well built/well maintained/well designed features that have a good flow, and are really hikeable.

Then as the season moves on make bigger jumps, move features around, and change the flow/layout of the park. Then if you do have pro builds for a comp, or for a photo shoot ....keep them for a week so the kids could ride it. PM me if you want some more personal info, and wait till October for the Park Designer's Cult to have some action.
