Thoughts on t1i

So I dont have a dslr as of right now but I have the oppurtunity to get a t1i for really cheap, I'm wondering if I were to get the t1i for park videos and I got a nice piece of glass would the video come out nice, does the body matter that much?

Yeah, don't get a T1i for video. A T2i/T3i is much better and isn't that much more expensive.

Don't go for a T1i. Save up your money for anything beyond that. Canon doesn't even service the t1i-t2i models anymore... that says something.

Only get it if it's downright dirt cheap and if you're only shooting photos. It's not going to be useable for video. At all. I don't even know what Canon was thinking with 20 frames per second as it's max framerate. Couldnt squeek out FOUR MORE for real video?
