How's Montana Skiing?

How's the snow up there? Better snow than the lower rockies, appalachians? Wanted some thoughts and expectations since im going up to Bozeman, Montana to visit a friend from late december to early january and am going to ski at Bridger bowl. Thanks for replies!

There's a solid week or two of decent skiing each year. The rest of the time it's hardly worth getting out of bed. People with season passes will typically ski 5 or 6 times each year at the most.

When the powder's stacking up in Colorado it's still raining in Montana. Kinda a sad place to be, that Montana.

Yeah resorts like Big Sky and Crested Butte are hardly any different than the Appalachians... fucking idiot... are you serious?

Now I don't live there, but I went to Whitefish last year in early February and it was great. Nice powder and decent park. Great all mountain place

When I skied at Bridger last year I loved it. It's smaller but it's not as developed as other resorts which gives it a more backcountry/rustic feel. The part that sucks about it is that you can't go to the peak unless you have a beacon, shovel, and buddy.

No need to be a sensitive bitch about it. It takes a couple minutes to find out everything this kid needs to know. It's pretty obvious he made zero effort into finding this out on his own since he asked if mountains in MONTANA are anything like the ones on the EAST COAST.

I'll help someone out if they actually need the help or if they want to know local information that you can only find on sites like this. This is plain laziness... unless you really enjoy shitty threads like this.

Also, why doesn't he ASK HIS FRIEND THAT SKIS THERE AND HE'S GOING TO VISIT?

First off i did look online first and found almost nothing about skiing in montana, in particular bridger bowl. Second, I want more opinions than just my friends to see what others think. Third this thread is not about help, I just wanting to know what to expect. Fourth i didnt ask about the mountains i asked about the SNOW .BTW don't reply to threads if you're gonna be the kid who ruins the day and mood.

I don't think your friend's opinion is going to differ much of ANYONE ELSE THAT SKIS THE SAME RESORT, YOU GAPER.

Honestly, you set yourself up for this one by implying that their may not be a difference between WEST COAST AND EAST COAST.

Bridger is like Taos, lots of steep chutes and everybody hikes. The best skiers I know came out of Bridger Bowl. Prepare to have your mind blown.
