Flunked my first university test

shit, i got a 43 on a fucking stats test. I cant even measure my hatred for stats, especially since my average mark until mid november was a fucking 90.
Here is the best advice i can give all of you, DO NOT TAKE STATS UNLESS YOU REALLY HAVE TO. The profs are idiots, the course is boring, the assignments are written by people that can speak english(i counted words used in a sentence, 14 'of's were used, 20 'the's), and deciphering one of my profs english is a course in itself.

my first test in this year, freshman year i got 96 precent on. It was latin. good times. The first reall thing was my myth midterm for a second year class which i got 80 on. so im feelin stoekd. and hungover, but mostaly stoked. i think alot of the stokage comes from the 3 inches of snow lying on the ground right now.

i've only failed one of many tests/midterms, so that's not too bad, right? i got a 49 on chem midterm #2 but 85 on chem midterm #1, so it evens to = not a fail.

at my school, C's get degrees! but I hate stats as well. I understand how to use everything, but breaking it up into pieces and doing parts of it on certain problems on tests and homework really screws me over. I don't understand why I can't make the bits and pieces alone make sense, but as a whole, I usually get the full concepts. I hate that class

I'm getting rather pissed off this term, because I keep getting mediocre grades on excellent work (I'm not bragging, I've had other profs edit these papers repeatedly and they could not be improved upon in any way) because of differences of opinion between myself and my professors on how these papers should be focussed. One tells me to branch out and consider literature as a whole, another wants me to focus on a particular text and not put it in context. One wants me to draw larger, important conclusions, another considers that 'philosophizing overmuch'. On top of all this, they're not clear about what they want until I get the paper back; only THEN do they have a clear idea of how it should have been done. This is really annoying. The only way I can get a good mark, apparently, is to have my prof tell me exactly how to write the paper (what to talk about and how to approach it) and then have me do it. It's more than a little ridiculous.

^higher education at the undergrad level isn't about having an opinion or being able to write at a high level, it's about regurgitating what someone else has told you. In a way, it's much like high school, only with 3000 extra words tacked onto the length requirements.

I've yet to get a mark higher than an 80. I suck at living. My stats course (multiple regression) is a bitch. If it wasn't open book I'd fail for sure. Third year University is definitely more difficult than community college.

haha I just got an 87 on my stats midterm. I found it tgouth at first, but then i buckled down and this shit is SIMPLE! they make it seem so hard, but really I could teach you in ten minutes

^if it's a stats course that starts with a '1', along the lines of stats 101, stats 100, stats 110, etc, then it's probalby pretty damn easy. I took my stats class by distance ed, didn't do ANY of the group work, didn't do ANY of the assignments, and still got a B-

My stats course is QMS 442, why is it so much harder than Linear Algebra (QMS 522) and Calculus (702)?

I believe tha courses only go up to 400 levels...at least at my school...
I just got an 82 on a calc exam that I didn't study for at all...the thing I'm pissed about is that I got a 10 point deduction for not filling it out IN PENCIL!!!?!?!?!??!! weird

All schools' course numbers are different. I got an ol 36 % on dynamics. Doesn't matter though, when the class average is 32%.

I got my ssat scores back today. I was in the 16 percentile for math, 18 for verbal, and I forget the other ones, but for reading I was in the 80th percentile. I did real bad tho all together and im taking it over.
