I am mad and happy at the same time. I am upset that Alabama may have got knocked off but Auburn played there hearts out. Overall that was a spectacular game.

that was absurd. back to back miracle wins over georgia and alabama... wow.
IMO auburn should be in the top two. osu has played NOBODY all year, the big ten is so weak. even though it took miracle plays to beat georgia and alabama, they still had to play the whole game to give themselves a chance. and hey if you're going to beat the number one team in the country, sparks are going to have to fly somewhere...

Ohio State is not a top two team. Stuff like this on an extremely easy schedule has kept them afloat despite a horrible defense. They should be ranked 4th after this week honestly, but them 3 and Alabama 4 would be understandable too. I'd love to see them play Alabama and get the shit kicked out of them.

That's why I hope Ohio St loses next week. I want FSU to play a worthy team, and both Auburn and Mizzou are better than them. If Illinois can put up 34 points on you and keep it close till the very end, and you almost lose to michigan, Northwestern kept it close, and a bad Cal team put up 34 pts, you are not a BCS championship worthy team.

Alabama is still the best team in the country.
Lost on a fluke, but I still think they would win the national championship if put against any team.

Auburn deserves to jump ahead of Ohio State in the polls. OSU needs to learn that they need to schedule better out of conference games in order to be taken seriously. Auburn might not have hard out of conf games either, but the SEC is tough enough that its not necessary.

Good to see Johnny Manziel get handled last night. He should be out of the Heisman race. Same with Andre Williams. Good seasons for both, but you can't say that they had the leadership and consistent gameplay of someone like Jordan Lynch (2450yds, 22td pass & 1750yds, 20td rush) or AJ McCarron (2670yd pass, 26td).

Andre Williams reminds me of Brandin Cook in a way, but I think even Cook is more consistent. He had at least 90 yards in every game; and despite being a receiver with over 1600 yards, he still had a higher rushing average than Williams.

I'd argue that even Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin is a better RB than Williams. He'd have bigger stats if he wasn't sharing the position with James White, who is another top running back. Williams stats are just the result of having an offense revolving around him running it every time. Williams doesn't even have a single reception this year, unlike White who is a much more versatile back.


TLDR; Alabama is still the best team in the country. OSU needs to learn to schedule harder non Big 10 games to be taken seriously. Andre Williams doesn't deserve the Heisman because he is one-dimensional and just the result of a one-dimensional offense. Jordan Lynch actually led his team undefeated, doing a bunch of shit as QB, despite being a MAC team.

Auburn did not beat Alabama. Alabama beat themselves. They played horrible and the past 5 years it seems that all the games they lost was because of special teams but mainly field goals. 4 missed field goals tells you that Alabama definitely needs to recruit a good kicker.

I feel like everytime time the field goal is short, the return goes back for a td. Idk why it just seems to happen a lot of the time. I stripped down to my underwear out of joy after the return, I'm a huge buckeyes fan and that sealed our spot of we can beat mich st. OSU vs mich was a hell of a game. Lost so hard when Marcus hall got ejected, it was total bullshit that my boy Dontre got ejected, he lost his footing which caused like 8 mich players to surround him and push him, of course he's gonna throw a punch. I can see where all of the osu haters are coming from but really you guys have to stop bitching about margin of score. The last time ohio state lost was 699 days ago. Urban is a fuckin mastermind that won't lose. A wins a win in my eyes, and we've beaten some damn good teams (Wisconsin)

There is quite the debate out there for Auburn to have the #2 spot over OSU. A win is not a win. Beating better teams, and beating teams significantly is going to give a team a better rating, it doesn't matter what you think.

I really hope OSU loses to Mich St, otherwise the NC is going to be a bloodbath, and all anyone will hear is FSU only won because Auburn/Alabama wasn't in the title game, they didn't deserve it blah blah blah. Honestly, the top 6 or 7 teams are probably better than OSU.

I am confused on what were trying to say... Again I mean ya it wasn't just the field goals that lost the game because Alabama played horrible overall. Though I can say Im more mad that Auburn got placed 3rd.

Auburn's ranked wins and losses: loss against #6 LSU, wins against #24 Ole Miss, #7 TAMU, #25 Georgia, and #1 Alabama. SEC Championship: vs. #5 Mizzou

This is my point right here.... OSU hasn't played anyone to show that they're a bcs championship contending team imo. Also at Nectar of course I feel that Auburn should of been #2. And my reeasoning is above ^.

Auburn's wins: overranked SEC teams and 'meh' teams or teams that just plain suck + Bama

Don't get me wrong, Auburn is a great team, they absolutely should be in the top 5, and their number 3 slot is well deserved. To say however that they should get a pass over an undefeated Big 10 team on account of scheduling is horesshit. Please explain: Washington State, Arkansas State, Western Carolina, and a week 9 game against Flordia Atlantic. Factor in how weak the rest of the SEC is and you look like a pompous SEC fanboy when criticize another team's schedule. Still trying to figure out how UGA stayed ranked other than an SEC bump. They were terrible in the second half of the season.

Believe me the rest of the country is pretty fed up with the whole 'SEC teams are good because they only loose to other SEC teams, who are also really good" mantra that plagues the FBS. Well no shit SEC teams only loose to other SEC teams. When was the last time they scheduled a difficult out of conference game?

Ya I see where your point is coming from. I just hate to know that teams like Auburn who knocked off the #1 team in the nation wont even have a chance to be able to play in the title game unless fsu or osu lose this upcoming week. And I got to say that sec overall out of conference scheduling was weak and is somewhat weak every year. I just feel as if a playoff system would be alot more true then the bcs. Sorry for any grammar im on mobile so its kind of hard to revise.

fair enough. for the record, im not really an sec fanboy. id much rather see a pac12 team (oregon or stanford) do well than the dominant SEC. what i'm saying is the big ten is much weaker than the sec. the teams that auburn has beat (alabama, tamu, georgia, and possibly missouri) are much osu's "marquee" wins (northwestern, michigan, wisconsin, probably michigan state)

double post: if auburn ends up losing to Missouri, then it all doesn't matter, but there is a reason why a lot of people think that auburn deserves to be in the top two over ohio state because their schedule is much stronger.

Obviously the only way ohio state is going to not be in the NC is if they lose to Mich St. But no one can deny that Auburn and Alabama, and probably even Missouri are all better teams than OSU.

SEC West pal.  Your credibility lost all argument not crediting that division.  You can accuse Missou of being overrated if you like but not Auburn.

The team entered the year as a non ranked non contender.  Mike LEach's boys gave them a test opening weekend.  Scheduling Wassou is better than what Ohio St played.  Ark St was a bowl team with returning talent.


Ohio State is a complete joke and Urban Cryer knew he'd be in an embarrassingly easy Big Ten and did nothing to strenghten his schedule.  Could have lost to bad teams in Wiscy (who couldn't beat Ped St at home) and Michigan.  The Georgia and Bama teams Auburn almost lost to were preseason top 5 squads who showed up and played well in those games.  Murray was amazing in the first and McCarren and Bama were their usual selves (unlike when A+M got them last yer.)


All Ohio St needed was one real non conference game.  You do understand people like me think Northern Illinois is about as deserving as you right?  And we sure as hell have apoint.

Your school is an embarrassment and disgrace Meyer not suspending those kids is pathetic.



If the ACC was down and Florida State didn't go through 2 good undefeated Miami and Clemson teams they'd catch the same shit as you are don't lie you'd be ALL OVER FSU for an easy schedule as a buckeye fan. All over them.

I'm a buckeye fan? News to me. Fuck, Auburn vs OSU, and I'd root for Auburn. You still lost to LSU however. As for claiming UGA, they were a hollow team when you played them. Not even close to the same team that beat LSU and S Car. I don't think they should be ranked right now. Only reason is SEC bump.

FSU and OSU are undefeated plaing against ranked teams. Auburn is not. Deal with it.

OSU and Northern Illinois played equally challenging schedules so being undefeated means nothing to me.  Auburn went through the toughest grind in football and didn't even avoid the best SEC East team.  Not an Auburn fan at all but Im glad they've humbled Bama again and you have to like this years team vs Scam Newton.  Malzahns crazy ass wife is awesome too.


As I said if the ACC had been bad as usual this year and Miami and Clemson weren't undefeated when FSU played them they'd hear the same crap as OSU is or if anything worse.

My problem with people arguing based on strength of schedule is that if Auburn had a tougher schedule than OSU (which it certainly did), then why aren't ASU and Stanford in the running with the fourth and fifth toughest schedules in the country? SEC football is overrated. Imagine if the PAC 12 was playing 8 conference games. Suddenly Stanford doesn't have a loss against USC or ASU doesn't have a loss against Stanford. Nine games versus eight makes a bigger difference than people think.

the problem with stanford is that they have one bad loss to an unranked (2-7 in conference) utah team. maybe if that was their only loss, but it isn't so there's a problem. stanford has a lot of good wins on their resume but they also have a pair of losses. a two-loss team just can't be a national title contender. also, no one likes asu, especially with how they won against wisconsin.

The point was that if the PAC teams all scheduled the 8 conference game schedules that the SEC teams do, both Oregon and Stanford would be sitting at a single loss.
Also most of the rest of the country is not impressed with how 'tough' an SEC schedule is. Maybe Auburn should have played S. Car and Mizziu or Vandy instead of their midseason cop-outs?
This would be easy to schedule, just get rid of all the other SEC late season out of conference play against fuck all teams.

Point is: no one in the SEC should be knocking another teams schedule until they stop with the mid/late season games against Nooneheardofit Universities.

Pac 12 needs to win all nine bowl games to make sure there are no questions that we ARE the second-best conference. Bummed that UO was passed over for OU, but I can respect their decision. If Stanford loses it's going to really hurt the conference's image, especially since the B1G is down right now. Definitely says a lot about the Pac 12 when 9 of 12 teams are going to bowl games though. Not an easy conference to play in.
Hopefully FSU can beat Auburn. Either way, Cougs are going to a bowl game for the first time in a decade and I couldn't be happier about it. Could be the first time since 2003 we have a winning record. I'm already looking forward to next season.
