Chronic sizing & Full Tilt question

Ok so really rubbish first thread but was wondering what people might think cos I'm really indecisive.
I'm planning on getting some Line Chronics to replace my 2010 Anthems (161) but not sure if I should go for 164 or 171?

I'm 5'6.5" 63kg/139lbs, been skiing 24 years, ski pretty aggressively/fast and split my time pretty evenly between park-piste-powder though prefer park and powder (obviously). What would you guys recommend?

Also what Full Tilt would you guys recommend? (I've been to a boot fitter and know that I fit Drop Kicks so should fit all the others with the same shell) This is mainly just out of interest as I'm just looking at options from all companies right now cos my old boots are ruined but Full Tilts are pretty hard to get in my size in the UK. So yeah just seeing what everyone else rides and recommends.

All full tilts that use te classic shell are the same it's only the liner, boot board, buckles and tounge which change but all are interchangar any way so it really does not matter. Full tilts are ok but there are some much better boots out there which will fit the same. There are loads of 98-100 mm boots so don't feel you have to be restricted to full tilt for fit. Size wise if your in the uk go demo some skis at a dome. Most the shops should have new stuff in, if its not there already it will be really soon.

Im about same size and got 178 chronics for park. Havent skied them yet but my old skis were 175 and just perfect lenght. 164 shouldnt even be an option :D

I would still check out a boot shop and try them all on. I tried on Drop Kick's and the Wallisch's, the liner in the DK's did not agree with my feet so I ended up with the Wally's. So try on two with the different liners then move on to the stiffness etc of the other models with whatever liner you prefer.

Thanks everyone!

I'm definitely not set on Full Tilts, was just wondering really. I've been riding Salomon Impact 10's since 2008 and they've served me really well even if they're a bit heavy and completely ruined as well now.

I'm a big Line fan having ridden Invaders and Anthems in the past so I'm happy to stick to them as a brand, just looking for something a little more all mountain as I get older and spend more time riding with people who don't hit the park.

I wish the domes over here had Chronics to try but nearly no-one has line stuff on test so I have to buy blind really. I reckon 171 should do me, was just concerned about swing weight cos of the length (I like to spin pretty quick off and on rails etc)

Brighams do line. So if you can te up to mk you could try some stuff out. Way better to test then buy blind. You may even find that a differnt brand is what you end up going for.

Boots wise go get fitted and get what fits the best. I'm fitting a bit in London this winter.

I tend to ride Hemel cos it's easier for me to get to after work but might make the extra journey to MK for a test session.

Definitely gonna get fitted, would never buy a brand/boot without getting it all sorted properly, asking for trouble if you do!

Cheers for the advice, hopefully catch you at a dome some time (or Metro Snow if you're going to that?)

No uv been working in whistler the last few years. Ill be doing a few shifts in Kensington this winter
