Im going to take meaning from this, you say the goal of life is to survive but humans have invented a technique where survival is a given which says we've reached another state of life, a few people have said what you're describing . What your saying is this next state doesn't matter and is simply a mask for our true goal.
But if humans are past the state of 'simply' surviving it would be fair to say that we are more advanced and if we are more advanced then we are moving in a direction. If there is a direction then we must be heading towards an end.
What a few others were saying, which relates heavily to Buddhism, is that this state of absolute peace (the true goal), where survival is no longer question, where there aren't even questions to be asked, is a stage that can be reached from human life
You relate to this because as Buddha teaches you cant force this state you must be ready to reach it. He teaches the best thing you can do is live your life. Simply put do what you want and what makes you happy. I'm changing your thoughts slightly but they are very similar. To you there is no meaning, only a goal, but to Buddha that same belief process that you have is moving towards his finale state which he believes to be Nirvana.
A few of these thoughts are different but they're all closely related.
