How many people actually pay the $10k-$25k buy ins? I am curious, are most satellite winners and sponsor bought in or are all these younger people just rich?

A lot of people participate in staking in which they sell a percentage of their buy-in.

So if the buy in is 10k. It's not unreasonable for a player to only pay half of their buy in with their own money and have the rest come in from investors. So if this random player wins 100k in the tournament, the player would keep 50k and the other 50k would go to the investors.

That's staking in it's simplest form. A bunch of other shit happens depending on the situation.

This makes sense. Other than if I was investing in someone, I would want more than an even split (which is probably how they do that).

To the other guy, if I was butt hurt, I would have lowered your karma or posted bad feedback or something. I did neither, I just dont like people posting nonsense to up their post count or to watch themselves type.
