Tail/Nose Tapping in a pipe

The past season I was messing around in the pipe doing butters which isnt really any thing new. But then I was standing on top of the pipe and thought why not try keeping it below the deck and trying spins with taps on the wall, ended up doing a few. Thing is I have never seen an edit with those tricks. Has anyone else done one of these or know of an edit that has a tap on the wall?

Probably because you can't boost. Also really doesn't sound very cool. Maybe butter the last hit or something or get funky if it's some weird tranny 1/4 but I'll stick with boostin in a pipe

Dude fuck that shit... its awesome to play around in a pipe. Not everyone has to be pipe jocks slinging the dick measuring contest of height all day long.

OP I think the idea of horsing around in the pipe is badass.

Education of style had some great shots of Henrik and Phil doing nose butters and other below-the-lip tricks.

Mini-pipes with jibs on the side would be cool for what you're talking about too.

Or, you could boost out of the pipe, spin, and tap the wall just before you land. But keeping it jibby and stylish in the pipe is always appreciated by everyone. Cool idea

mini-pipes as a whole should be a mainstay at all resorts. the reason you don't see as many skilled pipe skiers is there's nowhere for them to learn other than these massive 18-22ft monsters that are rarely built and maintained properly (in ontario at least)

but yes, jibs on the side of the pipe are fun. i miss pipes with boxes and wallrides on the deck

Doing lip tricks in the pipe is a lot of fun. In regards to taps and such a couple springs ago around the time of WCS I remember seeing Jeff Curry trying to do some sort of nollie/nose tap the coping/deck air to fakies in a 1/4 pipe. It's hard to explain but it looked pretty sick.

It would be sick if you could do a normal trick, they on your way down tap the coping. You would have to come so damn close to decking but the result would be sick. I think.

mad fun to do stuff like this, i've never really seen any shots of anyone doing them but I feel like tapping snow isn't as cool as buttering and popping differently

For sure, I remember labrador in NY used to have boxes on the sides back about 12 years ago. Things were actually boxes pretty much, like 3 feet maybe tall and not sure the length. I remember seeing some people slaying it. Also I think thats was the first time I saw somebody really throw down on skis. It was ski patrol. Dude was filming with a friend and throwing alley oop cork 5's?(Not sure what the right word is. It was like a flair in bmx)

Damn I just nostalgia'd. And Mr. Bishop, that was my take on OP doesn't even lift.
