I was dissatisfied with it. Just kind of that same lazy earl flow the whole record, drags on and gets a little boring. Say all you want about lyrics, if you can't deliver them in a compelling way it's kind of a wash.
Oh also the first verse on the record, the hell was earl thinking putting that on there... Turrible. The Tyler features dragged those songs down as did his production.
it's made for a good summer
even if people aren't fans of OF; consider the fact that Earl is 19 and spitting on tracks with DOOM, being produced by FlyLo. He's just starting.
I refuse to listen to it until I buy it. I have heard Hive though since it was a single and if the rest of the album is packing heat such as that, I will be thoroughly enjoyed.
For Earl it is. His down-trodden delivery is a big part of what makes this album darker in mood. Like I said, a happy, feel good Earl song is not something he is really capable of doing. I think sunday is as close as you're going to get to that.
