I've skied in Argentina and NZ, and I would say Argentina has better skiing but NZ is an easier and more realistic season to do if I were to go back to either to ski again...
in the case that your are asking where to ski in the southern hemisphere depends on what kind of skiing you want to do, backcountry and pow, come to chile, if you are looking for park and stuff go to NZ or australia.
Heading down to Bariloche Argentina in 13 days. Snow is looking pretty good at Cerro Catedral, base was down to nothing but one 5 day storm dropped 2+ meters of snow up top. Hoping the park is a little better than last season, but really who cares, I'm skiing in September... for a month!
Im in NZ right now for 6 months, wishing I hadn't brought only my backcountry gear. Iv'e ended up skiing all park cause they havn't gotten much new snow. Cardrona and Remarkables have nice parks, highly recomend both.
