WARNING - Do not buy from this guy. He completely scammed me. Paid him for skis that he never shipped. Fortunately I'm covered by PayPal. It's too bad because I've had many great transactions on NS until now.

ya man post up stuff to make your case and explain in detail so people really knwo that he scammed you and then he will be totally outed on the site

Bought skis from him as well and he's being EXTREMELY sketchy. Going to get my money back through Paypal though.

OP did he say something similar to this? hey man it's put the money on hold for three weeks so i can't use it, this is because i am new to paypal. i need the money so i can send the skis since money is so tight. so i can get it in a week instead i'm going to mark as shipped although it really isn't and i'm going to ship out asap with two day shipping as soon as i get the money. If you mark it as received i can get it in 5 days and send out even sooner. heres my phone number 916-467-2074 text me if you have any concerns at all. sorry for this hastle

Yup, he's clearly trying to scam. Asking you to mark received through Paypal before he has shipped will free up money for him and not allow you to dispute it any longer. Definitely reverse your Paypal payment to him, make sure to leave him bad feedback and link this thread there also.

Even if that didn't happen to OP what you just said he did is so sketchy and definitely an attempt to scam you no doubt. Make sure to get your money back right now and cancel that transaction and leave him bad feedback

Exactly. He definitely knows how to use PayPal loopholes. Hopefully nobody else buys from this fraudulent seller.

Received notification today from PayPal that my claim was approved and a full refund will be issued. I haven't had a chance to post warnings and negative feedback on standaaman's profile page, but will do so today. I appreciate the support of fellow NS members. 20/20 hindsight, there were a lot of red flags with this transaction from the beginning. Hopefully we can preserve what is a great forum to buy and sell ski gear. I really appreciate all the honest and fair members I've dealt with prior to this scam.

I know believe me I was skeptic from the beginning but I thought this was just about the only chance I had to get the skis I wanted. As soon as he asked me to mark it as shipped I was like nah
