Can mods change the title and add a question mark? If not I can make a new one and have this deleted. If nobody knows, I can have this deleted and thats that.
then they should be able to provide a digital download that isn't through itunes like 4bi9 did with keep looking. cause no one wants to order a vhs its 2002 god dammit!
What are you talking about? I am supporting the company by buying it through iTunes. How do you think famous music artists get their money? They are receiving money from the iTunes downloads.
watching a dvd these days is almost like watching a vhs when dvd's came out, i guess it costs more to produce blurays, but anyway digital downloads are the future, no hassels having to wait for shipping or stuff like that.
Also what's up with the price 12.99$, that's more expensive then the well established ski movie companies.
Yeah definitely, not sure how popular blurays are in the ski industry, i guess if you own a ps3 but who outside of that owns a bluray player? discs in general are a dying medium, soon everyone is going to have a smart tv/box connected to their tv that plays HD/4k movies in the future. I think itunes is the best way to get it out to everyone, independent digital downloads are less marketed, etc.
That being said, vimeo has a buying program now where people can rent/buy movies, l1p and 4bi9 are both going to be using vimeo this fall. I think vimeo takes less of a cut than itunes.
And 12.99 isn't that bad, I'm pretty sure most companies charge at least 10-15 on itunes and HD video probably costs more to distribute, due to file sizes. Feature length movies are 20+ usually and arguably smaller companies need to charge more money because they have less buyers vs feature length.
Anyways, digital download is the future. Discs will be done in 5 years.
I prefer to buy on itunes because i can watch it hd on apple TV for half the cost of a blu ray, not even adding shipping and delay to get a hard copy to canada, my shop hasnt brought in a movie since Claim...
How could NS do that? The companies would have to agree to do it through NS, NS would have to build an entire distribution system, when vimeo/itunes are already doing it? doesn't make sense for the maybe 20 movies every year?
I personally love having a hard copy. They decorate my desk and bookshelves. but having them on itunes is great for being able to only spend a few bucks to rent a movie that I wouldn't otherwise watch.
