Coats: How big is too big?

I got this coat and it goes about 4 inches above my knees. I am still growing so I will grow into it, but is that too big to wear this season?

thats not too big, but by the time you grow into it you'll want a new coat

Nah you should be fine, I like mine a bit shorter than that then again some guys prefer a longer fit; it's all personal preference.

There is only one question to ask with outerwear sizing: can you conceive of a situation where it will get in your way or hamper you from doing something you otherwise could because it's too big / small? If you can't, then it's fine.

It's not too big unless you feel self conscious or uncomfortable wearing it. If you like the size and how it looks then run with it.

When you think it's too big, then it's too big. Don't care what others think. But if you actually want to know my opinion, about halfway down the thigh is perfect

I'm 5'10 and run with an XL saga coat from 10/11 so.... You'll be fine. But I do like my outerwear to be real big. It really just comes down to personal preference though. Oh and never give a fuck what others think, if you like it go with it, fuck em
