Last weekend I was up at a cottage on a small lake with some amazing bass fishing, but we were told the next lake over had walleye. so we made the trek and threw in a few lines for 2-3 hours and didn't catch shit. nothing. first time ever trying to fish walleye.
so my question: what lures do people find work well with walleye and where's the best spot to fish them? I want to head back with some knowledge next time. keep in mind there's no way we're carrying the canoe 6,000 feet through hilly dense forest, so we need to be fishing from shore.
