So I got a ton of work on my plate. I'm located in Colorado Springs, CO, but am in Denver/Boulder areas quite frequently. I'm looking for someone who shoots/edits and possibly does motion graphics looking for some experience, and give you the chance to work on some cool skiing material, as well as work as a PA/AC and other positions on a few shoots that I have coming up that are pretty low key but do pay. I wouldn't call it an internship, but i'd be willing to do something like that if you need it for school. Food can be provided as well, some gigs will pay (most are pending bids)
Requirements:
Live in Colorado
Have some background or knowledge on shooting
Must be over 18 and have reliable transpiration
Takes work seriously
Ability to edit and understand Post-Produciton workflows
Good Attitude
Willingness to Learn
Most are wondering why I'd post this on NS, well because I need someone that knows Skiing since alot of the work is based around the sport.
Background:
I work for a company that shoots and edits skiing around the world all winter, and at times in the Summer. I also do alot of freelance and Contract work. I can't guarantee I could get you to travel anywhere for shooting. I only say this due to when I helped out companies they would tell me I would, then I ended up sitting. If the opportunity arrises and its local that might be another story. I can probably use a hand if shoots come up in other positions where you'd likely get to learn and work with RED cameras (if the jobs come through). Those could also be paid if everything goes as planned.
This isn't a real permanent position if you even want to call it that. We shot in AK/India/BC and Idaho this past season and have 3 edits coming down the pipeline shortly and could use help with the logging and organization to make sure we get through it possibly even some editing if the plate gets to full. Some content might be boring commercial work but it would still be good experience and the budget for that tends to run higher.
