i flew to Breck, had 4 days of perfect park weather and hardly hit the park to ski less then a foot of pow. Still better.

claim, just cause your parents were rich enough to buy you all the cool coaches doesn't make you a skier, that being said a perfect day at breck is hard to come by, i would have to go with a no line, no wind, 40 degree bluebird day at breck, only because ive never enjoyed that

I live in BC so I get 2-4 feet fresh everyday of the ski season. And our park isn't built till February so Id like to try Breck out, or Park City for that matter.

I too spend the winters in bc, and I'm almost positive you don't get that much pow EVERY day. If so your home mountain would be known as the snowiest place on earth.
That being said, doesn't matter how often your pow days are, they're still better than riding park. I'll just ride park when it hasn't snowed in a while or Avy conditions are bad.

sounds like most ns'ers havent lived in a place that gets 600inches of snow. after a while you just want to ski some park. and vice versa, those who dont get tons of snow and always are riding park want pow. both are alot of fun.

even if it's dumping and you have no view what so ever, I'd always choose a pow day over a park day. Pow days are just too few to waste.

I like to equate skiing blower pow to getting barreled in a wave. (Not that I'm good enough to get barreled)

So the kid who stated he would rather ride breck than 2 feet of fresh in BC I challenge this of you.

Go up to someone who surfs(well) and say you would rather do punts at huntington on a trunk day than get pitted in Indo or Bali and see if you don't get punched or laughed at. Only kooks would say such an ignorant thing, fitting, in this instance....

Haha, before I even opened this thread I knew what it was gonna be like. Anyone who answered "pow" would get an upvote, and anyone who answered "park" would get a downvote. That's fucking stupid, we're on Newschoolers.com here. Not that I really want to reference Wikipedia, but the definition of Newschool skiing is: "Skiing that involves tricks, jumps, and terrain park features, such as rails, boxes, jibs, or other obstacles."

Most of the edits on this site are park edits. Most of the people on this site mostly ski park. A perfect park day at Breck sounds amazing. I'd probably choose it. I usually like park more than all mountain. Maybe it's because I haven't gotten a chance to ski pow on real pow skis, but whatever.

so much this, pow skis have really only existed en mass for just over a decade. powder has existed for as long as skiing. people can rip a 50' triple stage pillow line on 70mm 210s into two feet of fresh just fine!

Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but "Powderkings" ski domain is so large that you can go anywhere and find fresh or at least untouched snow and ski the shit out of that all day. By the time its getting hard to find the untouched it snows and everythings fresh again.

And yeah Powderking got a record 2 seasons ago for receiving the most snow in 24 hrs in the world. Snowed something like 7 feet in 3 days.

But yeah, the more pow days the better. I've just never been to a quality park.
