What the young pimp is expressing is an simple angst against America. He is trying to point out the flaws in America, and merely choosing poorly.
And yes, you did get rather owned by that link, but his comments are really portraying the anger felt by him about American foreign policy, and the corporatisation of the country (which is seen as quite a danger, especially with the free trade agreement coming to our shores ASAP). The pimp is shooting at the wrong target here, but the administration of your country, government and private, has shown itself to be pretty god damn evil. australia is a great country, made up of heaps of cultures, and generlly has a good atmosphere to it, despite all this, a good snow season will be around 3metres. the u.s too, is a very good country, and if anyone has travelled a bit back and forth between the two (as i do) you will find that the places really aren't that much different.
another correction: australia has bogans, US has rednecks, there aren't any real red necks in aus.
Both countries face a problem with the growing number of people and kids who are overweight, and id say they are the same sort of problem just at different scales, as the US has way more peeps than Aus (around 22mill). i know at my school they are encouraging all this healthy shit, i guess im lucky im in shape, as most people i know are, here any in US.

Where I live (New England) I'd dare to say that probably 80% of the population aronud the ages of 14-40 are actually very healthy. You're hard pressed to find obese people and when you see them they're a cause for laughter. There are also a lot of very smart people around here as well. Just because some rag in Austrailia reports about some study that was taken of a small cross section of the country does not mean it goes for the entire country. A lot of things also seem worse when taken out of context because of the fact that the United States has a decently large population. Its like when the Canadians like to rub the national homicide figures in American's faces, when in fact, thats because Canada has a far lower population than the United States, so the figures look a lot worse.
