Head Mojo 15 bindings - Good deal?

Saw these on backcountry and it looks and sounds like a screaming good deal to me for brand new bindings. if anyone is in need, I don't really know a lot about them, but I've heard great reviews on them. They don't list the brake size anywhere (that I see), so you may need to get on there chat or something.

Unfortunately, I do not need a pair since I am already set for bindings, but figured I'd share. Sorry if repost.

I've never personally owned a pair, and they never sold as well as an FKS or an STH, but everyone who has skied them says they're really solid.

i just i would throw it out there for anyone interested. seems like an extremely legit price if they are worth it.

Just picked up a pair.....my friend rides them and says they are hella legit. I figure if I don't like them I'm only out $70 so what the hell...why not?...thanks for posting +k!!

MOJO 15/18s are the only alpine binding I would buy other than 916s.  They're solid and predictable.

If I didn't have already 8 pairs of 916s, I'd grab a few of these.

That is a fucking phenomenal deal on solid bindings. I rode FKS only for years and swapped my park skis to these as the brakes were more durable and easier to fix if they were toast. Excellent bindings.

The other mojo 15's seem to come mostly with 97mm brakes, i'm assuming these do to. Mine shipped already and i'll make to sure to let you guys know what they for sure are.

Don't waste your money or risk your knees. The bindings are made out of a lot of plastic and that's about it.  Bindings are one thing you don't want to just buy them cause they're "cheap". If you ride park or groomers often/or hard at all these will last a season at most.

I have. my shop sells these and will say they do have a lot of issues. I have owned the Tryolia Peaks which IMO are much more sturdy than these and they did not last long at all. They may be an okay binding for softer surface/ pow skiing but if you're riding man made groomers often then will not last.

I have sold them for years too and they are the binding that you probably see the least issues with. The toe I pretty indestructible and the way the brake is combined with the rear heel screws makes them strong. Maybe you have just seen a couple if bad pairs but as I said above other then sollys top end bindings these are great.

I have owned and rode the black Tryolia Peak 15 bindings and the toe piece took a solid hit from a packed snow/ice chunk and the little wings on the toe pieces broke right off. I just was very unhappy with the bindings compared to others I have owned.  It could be true that I just got a faulty set but I know when talking to the guys up in the shop there has been other similar issues.

Maybe not for the same price but there are definitley much sturdier and safer bindings on the market. The Knee bindings and fks 180 both will take 10 times more abuse than these.

Well if you broke a wing off on a chunk of ice most bindings would prob break too. Obviously that would be a warranty though so I would imagine you got a new pair. They are certainly better then px 12's though and certainly less annoying to try to get parts for then fks so compared to your other bindings I would still say they are a great option.

And I am not agasint Head at all, I had a pair of Head Mojo 80s that I rode the shit out of and they withstood everything.  Just not a fan of these bindings at all from my experience. And its not even so much a durability issue, IMO there are safer bindings available and I would rather spend the extra $$ because I have gone through the whole MCL/Meniscus tears...no fun.

Most is the key word there, and I didn't even mess with the warranty. I will agree with you they may be better than the PX 12's I have no argument there, but there is no way they are as sturdy or safe as the fks 18. And I feel as though you are just biased towards that binding because of difficulty of repair etc.  But I promise my fks wouldn't have broke taking the blow to the toe piece. And the only two bad things as far as Knee Bindings I have had are how heavy they are and the brakes break very easily.

Why did you not bother with a warranty you would have had them replaced for free.

Fks toes are great it's the heel pieces that have issues. But that is another thread.

And knee bindings have many more issues then just the brakes.

You're the dumbass, just because I am from Indiana doesn't mean we don't ski hard. All we ride is hard pack snow/ice with a park on it. If you think riding that and taking those spills isn't hard you're really naive. There are plenty of great skiers from my area to prove that being in our area doesn't mean shit. (Goepper, Laker, Ian Block) just to name a few.  And it was IMO you dickhead with my past experiences.

See but the thing is we could go on and on for hours about each binding and its flaws/issues, I agree the fks have major problems and sure knee bindings do too. No binding is perfect and thats why I said IMO I prefer other bindings to these Mojos.

Not here to argue just stating what I believe.

That's fine mate. Overall though generally these bindings have less issues then most so anyone wondering about them don't be put off by 40oz.

These bindings have proved themselves to be durable and take a beating. And for this price they can't be beat. Yes they aren't as good as fks18's but look at the price, like c'mon man.

Well I'm sorry I didn't know they were the exact same bindings, regardless I had some shitty luck with them. And obviously they are cheaper than the fks, I would just rather be safe than sorry and spend the extra money. Its a shame you're a fucking know it all dickhead though, I'm sure that will get you far in life.

Price has nothing to do with it. I would take mojo 15s or sth16s over fks 150/180s all day. But thats because i dont like the fks heel in powder. i had a pair for a season and that was enough. That isnt a reason for me to say its a bad binding though, just not for me
