So I was supposed to go today but the plane broke down so there was a long wait. So I will be jumping with my friend at 7:45 tommorow morning. Has anyone else skydived here if so please share your experience.
I haven't but after watching a presentation given by Yves "Jetman" Rossy at Oshkosh about his jet wing development I was totally set on getting my sky diving liscense. So I plan on getting my liscense once I'm out of college.
yeah it wasn't that scary though, after the exit I tumbled for a bit until I was in "the" skydiving position. That was the worst not so much because I was scared but because it was really disorienting. Then when you kinda know whats going on it was like .. okay i'm falling..
Honestly the canopy ride was the funnest part for me, do some swooping.
I went a few years ago, It was awesome. One of the coolest experiences ive had. I wouldn't say any part was scary for me and my friend, but I think that was because we were both so stoked to be doing it. We had talked about it since we were kids. We jumped at 13,500 ft and ended up above the clouds and fell through some. It was awesome.
Its an amazing experience, the first fall out of the plane I'd say is the most "scary" thing. But its not that bad and the free fall is the best, but it'll be over before you know it :( Enjoy, wish I could go again
Ive never been in the U.S. but I went when I was 14 on vacation in South America, It was alot of fun. As long as you have a good attitude about it the instructor will make it alot of fun.
You can go solo after just a few jumps if you do AFF, you get an A license after 25 jumps. I did a military freefall program at the Academy, so my first jump was solo and freefall. Pretty much the only place in the world you can do that though.
Well skydiving today was without a doubt the coolest thing i've ever done! Hanging out of the plane at 13000 then doing some rolls into the free fall was amazing. I was surprised by the amount of force on your body when you turn with the parachute. I can't wait to do it again.
When I first exited the plane we rolled and it felt like it but my friend didn't roll so he didn't get that feeling. And the rollercoaster feeling lasted like 3sec then it's an unforgettable experience. If your worried about that feeling don't be.
I rolled out of the plane and didn't get the "stomach in your throat" feeling at all. It was honestly one of the most awesome things I have ever done and will be doing it again.
The scariest part for me was the plane ride up. We were on some tiny ass old plane and I wasn't 100% confident it was going to make it to 14,000 feet haha.
